One God: One Gateway To Salvation

This picture is a lie!  And unless you understand why it is a lie, you are susceptible to being lead down the path that leads to destruction.

Logically, there can only be one Creator.  Why?  The answer is simple — once you understand the principles of Natural Law.  If there were more than one Creator, then how would they ever establish who would set the laws which govern this universe?  If you know your ancient history, then you know the ancients believed the world was hopelessly chaotic.  There were no set laws governing the universe.  To the ancients, this lead to the natural assumption that gods did not so much create the world as they imposed order on it.  They also believed there were many gods, and that they controlled different aspect of the universe.  One god had power over the sun, another over the moon, and so on.  So, when the universe seemed out of balance, it was just assumed that this was due to a war between the gods which then lead to a loss of the order they had imposed on the universe.  But Natural Law says the universe is governed by one, all-encompassing and perfectly integrated system of laws.  Such a system strongly suggests a single creator.

Now, if there is a single creator, then it logically follows that, if the Creator chooses to do so, He will only create one path to redemption.  This may not seem intuitively obvious at first — until you start asking yourself why the Creator did not create many ways for time to work, or gravity, or the laws of motion.  It is much more efficient to simply create one universal law governing gravity, and time and one set of laws governing motion.  SO why would the Creator provide more than one path to salvation?

Once we understand that there must be a Single Creator, and that if He were to provide one at all, He would only provide one means of redemption, the question becomes: “Which is that one correct path?”  This is where we must all make our own choices.  For me, it is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.  But His name is Yahweh, not Allah!  And He is one, not one of many as in Hinduism and Mormonism. Nor is He within ourselves, as suggested by Buddhism.   After careful study and consideration, I realized that the One True God is the God of the Bible, and that Jews and Christians both worship Him (just under different covenants — exactly as the Bible declares!).  But the Bible also declares that God’s favor has fallen on the decedents of Isaac, not Ishmael.  This means Yahweh has stayed with the Jews and Christians, and the Muslims, who are decedent of Ishmael, are worshiping a different god.  Nowhere is this made more clear than in John’s explanation of the Spirit of Antichrist.  Islam is the very embodiment of Antichrist.  It denies Christ is God, that He was crucified and that He was resurrected.  It also denies His Lordship over the Jews and Christians, which the Bible clearly states are the Bride of Christ.  And this is just one of many signs that Islam is a lie.  There are more.

The same reasoning applies to all other religions.  When we dig down deep, we will usually find that, outside of the Bible, all other religions are man-made.  This is why we are left with Jesus and only Jesus as the path to Salvation.

But why should we accept that Jesus is the only path to salvation?  Well, there is prophecy.  Time and time again, God — speaking through His servants — tells us that He gives us prophecy so that, when it happens, we will know that He is God!  There are more than 2,500 prophecies in the Bible, and some 3,000 of them have come to pass.  If you are reading this, you are witness to the greatest fulfillment of prophecy since Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection: the existence of Israel!  The Bible repeatedly foretells that Israel will survive as a culture and, one day, return as a physical nation.  In 1948, that happened.  Prophecy foretold that Jerusalem would return to Jewish control.  In 1967, that happened.  You can look, but you will not find another event such as this in all of human history.  It simply does not happen, and yet it did — exactly as the Bible said it would.  The Bible also foretold Jesus and His mission.  He fulfilled somewhere between 350 and 450+ prophecies in His life (depending on what one accepts as Messianic prophecy), many of which no person could have controlled, such as His ancestral lineage or His place of birth.  So prophecy is one reason to believe the Bible’s claims.

Another is the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ.  When Adam sinned, death became a reality.  God’s Word is very clear: the price for sin is death — period!  And, since we all sin, we all must die.  But it is also a principle of ancient law that a person can ‘redeem’ another.  In other words, someone else can pay the price to set you free.  Usually, this referred to paying the cost to get a person out of jail or slavery.  However, in the case of sin, Christ died for us.  He took our place.  And by raising Himself up after three days, He defeated death.  And He did rise from the dead.  Not only were there hundreds of witnesses to His resurrection, the event is recorded by the Jewish historian, Josephus.  So, by dying in our place and then rising from the dead, Christ paid the price for sin for all who accept Him as their Savior.  If we accept Him, then we are redeemed.  Since He already paid the price for our sin — death — God is not bound to punish us again.  But we must accept Christ as our Lord before we can be covered by His redemption.

There is nothing we need to or can do to be saved.  It is a free gift.  That is what Grace is: a gift given to someone who does not deserve it.  It is totally free.  You do not have to do anything to receive it.  All you have to do is ask for it.  BUT!  In order to ask for it, you must be sincere.  You must realize you are a sinner.  You must humble yourself enough to admit this before the Lord, and to ask for His forgiveness.  In other words, you must be repentant, and repentance is permanent.  It means you turn away from your old ways and surrender to the Lord.  If you do this, and you mean it with all your heart, then your salvation is free!  However, you are not free — not anymore 🙂

Once you surrender to the Lord, you make Him Lord of your life.  This means you not only trust Him, but you also follow and obey Him and His commands.  No, you do not have to obey to be saved: you obey out of love for the Lord and for what He did for you.  You obey because you become one with Him: because He comes to live in you.  This transformation is yet another reason we can trust the Bible and the claims it makes.  No other force known to man has transformed as many lives in such short a time and in so radical a way as the power of Christ entering into the life of a sinner.

This union is often described in the Bible as a marriage.  Jesus is the bride groom, and the total sum of all believers are the bride.  And just as the Bible says, when two people marry, they become one.  So, if you belong to Christ, when the time for judgment comes, God the father will see you as being one with His Son.  And because Christ already died for sin, God will not condemn you to death.  Jesus has already died in your place.  When God looks at you, He will not see your sin.  All He will see is His perfect Son.  This is why Christ is our redeemer and Messiah.  And all you need to do to receive Him is humble yourself, admit to the Lord that you are a sinner, ask for forgiveness and then ask Christ to enter into your life and become the Lord of your life.  It is that simple!

[NOTE TO MY JEWISH FRIENDS: I understand that the Trinity is a difficult thing for you to accept.  I understand that it is not clearly explained in the Tanahk.  However, it is in there, and nowhere is it stated more clearly than in Isaiah.  God, speaking through Isaiah, clearly speaks of a time when He, His Son and His Holy Spirit will all be present in Israel at the same time!  How wonderful is that!  But you will also find God speaking of His Son in the Psalms, and even in Genesis. The Trinity is there.  You just have to look for it. Shalom to you 🙂  ]

[NOTE: I no longer think of my voice as anything special.  There was a time when I believed I had something important to say, but not so much these days.  I write now because I feel driven to do so.  Something inside me will not let me rest until I post the pages you just read.  I’d just as soon not bother anymore.  It all seems like no one is listening and I do more harm than good.  So I have come to trust that whatever it is driving me has all this under control.  Personally, I believe it is God, but others may not.  All I ask is that, if anything I write helps you, or you think it might help others in any way, please, share this page.  Re-blog it, share it on FB or send the link to your friends.  So long as you feel it will do more good than harm, then please, use this page however you wish.  Thank you.]
